The new owner of Swan 44MKII INTREPID purchased her without hesitation in the dead of winter in Marion Massachusetts. The boat was picked-up and delivered via water to JBY in the middle of March…cold trip.
After several hours of thorough investigation the owner selected some of the finest equipment for JBY to install, such as: Espar heating system, Technautics refrigeration, Xantrex inverter/charger, Jabsco fresh water quiet-flush electric heads, Spectra running rigging, Harken sail control hardware, Raymarine electronics package, Clarion entertainment, etc.
The boat was commissioned and re-launched in mid-May, slightly warmer.
As her owner is from California, in lieu of a mooring or dock, he opted to dry-sail the boat out of JBY. Eventually she was trucked back to San Francisco, where she summers and winters in Newport Beach.
