Over 120 years of craftsmanship
In the heart of Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island,
a place where boats—and their owners—are treated like family.

Tucked into a protected harbor on the southeast shoreline of Jamestown, with sweeping views of Clingstone and beyond to Newport, Safe Harbor Jamestown Boat Yard is more than a service facility—it’s a home port. For generations, boat owners have trusted JBY not just for the quality of our work, but for the people behind it.
Using our traditional marine railway, we haul and launch vessels with care and precision. Each winter, over 100 boats both indoors and outdoors, offering comprehensive winterization and spring commissioning services.
From Refits to Repairs to Routine Maintenance, our full-services span four departments: mechanical, paint & fiberglass, carpentry, and rigging. Our service managers coordinate each job to ensure your boat gets the attention it needs.

As a testament to our commitment to quality and attention to detail, we have been home to one of the largest concentrations of Swan yachts in the United States on any given day.
Our relationship with Nautor’s Swan spans more than five decades. Over that time, JBY has become a trusted destination for Swan owners traveling to and from the Caribbean, Europe, and beyond.
From the original 1967 Sparkman & Stephens 36’ to the modern Swan 54, our team has worked on nearly every model in the fleet. That depth of experience allows us to approach each project with confidence, precision, and an understanding of what makes these yachts exceptional.
