After an unfortunate, but yet appeared to be “little” accident off Nova Scotia, Swan 56 CLOVER opted to come to JBY to have repairs performed. Collision repairs often seem to take the path of worst case access…..Removal of the toerail & teak planks on the exterior, the upper portion of the galley on the interior, and of course perfectly straddling a bulkhead & stringer. Once cleared the vacuum-bag repairs were stronger than original construction, re-assembly and re-finishing of all removed components re-emerged as original as well. Of all JBY customers, CLOVER is certainly in the upper echelon of miles sailed & places visited. So as not to disturb their travels, the repairs were performed within a couple of summer months, and she was off to the Caribbean in good fashion.
