Refit and maintained from masthead down thru keel……..
Since 2001, Swan 61 ALERRE has taken full advantage of all of JBY’s Service Departments.
On the mast….. spars have been painted with Awlgrip, replaced rod & running rigging, fully serviced two hydraulic furlers, Navtec mast control components, and converted all the lighting to LEDs.
On deck….has had teak replaced, windlass re-built, all sailing hardware serviced, new wind generator fitted.
Down below………new batteries, new Yanmar main engine, re-built generator, new air-conditioning, new santitation systems, new styled bow-thruster, new electronics, new refrigeration.
On the hull…..topsides painted in Awlgrip, performed osmotic blister repair to hull, removed and re-built rudder/steering system, removed and serviced centerboard.
During all of these, her owners have had plenty of time to sail between the Caribbean and New England. More recently, she has set off for a circumnavigation and at this time is en-route to New Zealand via Papeete.
