Refit and maintained by JBY from masthead to keel since 2001, the Swan 61 ALERRE has benefited from every service department through several changes of ownership. Over the years, she has cruised between New England and the Caribbean and completed a circumnavigation—a testament to her enduring capabilities and the care invested in her.

Carpentry Projects:

Teak deck replacement with custom joinery down below.

Alerre, make way for new teak — Making Way for New Teak

Alerre reinstall hardware on new decking

Rigging Projects:

Replaced rod & running rigging, Fully serviced two hydraulic furlers, windlass re-built, All sailing hardware serviced

Paint & Glass Projects:

Spars and topsides painted in Awlgrip, performed osmotic blister repair to hull, removed and re-built rudder/steering system, removed and serviced centerboard.

Mechanical Projects:

Upgrades included a wind generator, Navtec mast-control components, LED lighting throughout, new batteries, and a new Yanmar main engine. The generator was rebuilt, and new air-conditioning, sanitation, bow-thruster, electronics, and refrigeration systems were installed.
