BELLE AURORE,Baltic 55

JBY coordinated the complex conversion of Belle Aurore’s standard Baltic 55 rig to a previously owned Swan 56 in-mast furling mast and boom. The project required extensive measurements, comparisons, and collaboration with the engineering department at Hall Spars to confirm the concept was feasible.

ILLUSTRIOUS, Baltic 35

Upon purchase of Baltic 35 ILLUSTRIOUS in 2002, her new owners immediately contracted JBY to replace the main engine. As with all the re-powers we undertake, we recommend that after removal of the engine this is a suitable time to address other “confined” issues, such as insulation replacement, wiring & plumbing repairs, and re-location of components (strainers, filters, etc.) to more “user-friendly” areas, etc. Since that time, her teak decks have been replaced, topsides painted with Awlgrip, hatches replaced, rudder removed and steering system serviced. Seems to have liked everything so much, she has been moored at JBY almost ever since.
